Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Clifton Hampden Bridge Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 18 September 2017 Coming into force: 25 September 2017 This Order is being introduced because of bridge repair works which are anticipated to take 10 working days (07:00 - I7:00hrs) to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding over Clifton Hampden Bridge. Access will be maintained for pedestrians during the closure times by being escorted through the works.There is a possibility of overnight closures subject to progress of the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

The alternative route for traffic is via the A4I5 Abingdon Road, Tolgate Road, Appleford Road, B40I6, Didcot Road, Long Wittenham Road, High Street and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
