Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the U72419 Lower Bartestree Lane, Hereford Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles from the junction of the A438 to Frome Park Footway OS Grid Ref: 356817 / 240884. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A438 onto the C1130 and vice versa. The said closure is required due to the installation of a new gas main and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 25th September 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
