(Special Event) (Tour of Britain Cycle Time Trials) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 16A-C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, has made the above Order to facilitate the holding of the Tour of Britain Cycle Time Trials Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the following lengths of road, Clacton-on-Sea/
Holland-on-Sea/Frinton & Walton in the District of Tendring: Road Description
Hastings Avenue, From its junction with Selsey Avenue, north Clacton-on-Sea east to its junction with West Road.
West Road, Clacton- From its junction with Hastings Avenue, east on-Sea Marine Parade West, Clacton-on-Sea Marine Parade East, Clacton-on-Sea Kings Parade, Holland-on-Sea
to its junction with Marine Parade West. From its junction with West Road, north east to its junction with Marine Parade East. From its junction with Marine Parade West, north east to its junction with Kings Parade.
i. From its junction with Marine Parade East, north east to its junction with Kings
Kings Avenue, Holland-on-Sea
B1032 Holland Road,
Holland-on-Sea Sladbury's Lane, Holland-on-Sea
Avenue.
ii. From its junction with the B1032, south west to its junction with Kings Avenue.
From its junction with Kings Parade, north to its junction with Holland Road. From its junction with Kings Avenue, west to its junction with Sladbury's Lane. From its junction with B1032 Holland Road, generally north east to its junction with Little Clacton Road.

From its junction with Sladbury's Lane, east to its junction with the B1032 Clacton Road/ Main Road.
From its junction with Great Holland Common Road/Little Clacton Road, south west to its junction with Kings Parade.
There will be marshalls posted at strategic points of the closures to maintain emergency and residential access to properties on or adjacent to the affected roads.
2. A temporary 'No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the event. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force. The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Consolidation) Order 2008 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The temporary closures and stopping restrictions are scheduled to commence on 7 September 2017 between the hours of 00:01h to 23:59h and are required for public safety while the Tour of Britain Cycle Time Trials takes place.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 7 September 2017 and may continue in force for 3 days unless extended by the Secretary of State. Essex County Council, Network Assurance, County Hall, Chelmsford
