Temporary Closure of New Street Lane, Loders
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along NEW STREET LANE, LODERS from Smishops Lane Junction To Yondover Railway Bridge, a distance of approximately 75 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 14th September 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 November 2017.
This order will enable Western Power Distribution, safe access to carry out excavation and electrical work to underground electricity cables in the highway.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Higher Street - A3066 St Andrews Road - East Road - A35 - Uploders
