M3 MOTORWAY (HAMPSHIRE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M3 Motorway in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the phased overnight closure of:
(i) the slip road leading to the coast-bound carriageway of the M3 at Junction 10 (A31);
(ii) the slip road leading from the London-bound carriageway of the M3 at Junction 11 (A3090); and
(iii) the link roads connecting both carriageways of the M3 to both carriageways of the A303 trunk road at Junction 8 (A303).

These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake carriageway resurfacing and all associated works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 10 weeks starting on or after Monday 18th September 2017. The overnight closures will take place between 21:00 and 06:00 (maximum period). The Order will come into force on 16 September 2017 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using other junctions of the M3 and A30, A31 and A272. The diversion route in question will vary according to the closure in place. The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
