(Various Roads, Colchester) (Bus Lane) Order 201*
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2) and 4(1) of and Parts III & IV to Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To introduce an order for the existing bus lanes for the use of buses and pedal cycles only on the following lengths of road A1341 Via Urbis Romanae Northbound Carriageway Nearside Lane

a) from a point 4.5m north of the junction with the A134 for a distance of 117.6m to a point 2.9m south of the stop line of the Toucan Crossing
b) from a point 2.7m from Toucan crossing for a distance of 350.2m to a point 86m from the stop line for the unnamed road to the west.
c) from the junction with the unnamed road to the west for a distance of 107.6m to the stop line for the junction with the unnamed road to the east.
d) from a point 3.6m north of the unnamed road to the east for a distance of 100.5m to a point 3.8m from the stop line with line Pegasus Crossing.
e) from a point 9.1m north of the stop line with the Pegasus Crossing to a point 82m from its junction with Axial Way for a distance of 175.1m Southbound Carriageway Nearside Lane
f) from a point 57.3m south of its junction with Axial Way for a distance of 211m to the stop line with the Pegasus Crossing
g) from a point 15.3m south of the stop line with the Pegasus Crossing for a distance of 51.5m to a point 47.4m from the stop line of the unnamed road to the east.
h) from the junction with the unnamed road to the east the stop line for junction with the unnamed road to the west
i) from the junction with the unnamed road to the west for a distance of approximately 588m to the A134 Northern Approach Road.

EAST SIDE: Southbound nearside lane between its junctions with Bruff Close and North Station Roundabout
2. To introduce and order for the existing 'Bus Only Lane 24 hours daily restriction, with exemptions for taxis, pedal cycles, motorcycles and licenced private hire vehicles' as specified:

Road Description

A134 Station EAST SIDE: Southbound nearside lane for its Way, entire length between its junctions with North Station Roundabout and Essex Hall Roundabout.

3. To Amend the existing bus gate restriction at Nayland Road to allow licenced Private Hire Vehicles to use the bus gate

Road Description

Nayland Road From its junction with Fords Lane roundabout south-westwards for a distance of 30 metres

3. To revoke the bus lane restriction on St Botolphs Street from its junction with Osborne Street to its junction with St Botolphs Roundabout.

The Colchester Borough (Various Roads, Colchester) (Reserved Bus Lane) Order 2000 will be revoked but the provisions in it will be transferred to the new Order.

The Essex County Council (Nayland Road, Colchester) (Bus Lane) Order 2008 will be revoked and any unchanged provisions will be brought forward into the new Order
