Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the C1196 From Rose Cottage to Cornerston, Madley, Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: C1196 From Rose Cottage to Cornerston outside Aspen OS Grid Ref: 341715 / 238457. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1193 onto Stone Street onto the B4352 onto the C1196 and vice versa. The said closure is required due to the installation of a new gas connection and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 4th September 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
