Dorset County Council Temporary Closure of Higher Sea Lane, Charmouth
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HIGHER SEA LANE, CHARMOUTH from the junction with The Street to its junction with Five Acres, a distance of approximately 150 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 4th September 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 September 2017.
This order will enable Western Power Distribution, safe access to carry out trenching works to upgrade existing 11000v cables in the highway. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; The Street - Old Lyme Road -Westcliff Road - Five Acres

Temporary Closure of A3066, Mosterton DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along A3066, Mosterton to the south of Beaminster Tunnel, a distance of approximately 5605 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 4th September 2017 between 0900 and 1600 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15th September 2017. Please note that the section of road between Whetley Cross and Beaminster Tunnel will be open as normal from the 7 September 2017 and the closure between Mosterton and Whetely Cross will remain in force until the 15 September 2017. The road will be open outside of these times, and also over the weekend. Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity, and the road may not be closed for the whole duration stated above. The closure is also weather dependant.
This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works and bridge works. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984- Section 23 Proposed Changes to Crossings at Sea Road North, Bridport
Dorset County Council in exercise of powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes to:
* Replace the existing pedestrian refuge island, situated 53 metres south of the junction with St. Andrew's Road, with a Toucan crossing.
* Remove the existing signalised pedestrian crossing, situated 145 metres north of the proposed Toucan crossing, and replace it with a pedestrian refuge island.
