Notice of Application for Consent to temporarily divert a short section of 400,000kV Overhead Line In the area of West Dorset District Council

Notice is hereby given that National Grid Electricity Transmission pic (National Grid) intends to make an application under Section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989 for the consent of the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy for a temporary diversion of a short section of existing 400kV (400,000 volts) overhead line at Warmwell Quarry, west of Crossways village off the unnumbered Crossways to Dorchester road. The overhead line diversion is required to facilitate the replacement of four lattice pylons at Habitat First Group's Silverlake development. The proposed temporary diversion of the existing 400kV VN overhead line would be 1435m in length and be constructed to the west of the present route alignment and comprise of one temporary pylon and two temporary masts. A plan of the proposed overhead line diversion has been deposited for public inspection in the following locations:
