A34 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR WINCHESTER) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A34 Trunk Road in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traff?ic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of the road leading to the northbound carriageway of the A34 at Three Maids Hill (A272/B3420).

These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake sign replacement and all associated works. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 9 weeks starting on or after Monday 25th September 2017. The overnight closures would take place between 22:00 and 06:00 (maximum period). The Order would come into force on 23 September 2017 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traff?ic affected by the closure would be diverted using the A34 southbound to M3 Junction 9 roundabout and return. The temporary closure and diversion route would be clearly indicated by traff?ic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
