The Blackwell Publishing Limited Pension Scheme ("the Scheme") was established with effect from 1 February 2007 following a bulk transfer from the Blackwell's Pension Fund. This was a result of the agreement by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. to acquire all of the shares of Blackwell Publishing (Holdings) Ltd.
The Scheme commenced wind-up on 10 May 2011 and all known liabilities of the Scheme at that time having previously transferred on 28 February 2011 to the Blackwell Section of the John Wiley & Sons Limited Retirement benefits Scheme.
If you were an employee of Blackwell Publishing Limited, and a member of the Scheme, and think you are entitled to benefits under the Scheme but have not been notified of your benefits or received other communications from the Trustees, it is of vital importance that you make contact with them to establish whether or not you have an entitlement. Claims should be sent in writing to the under-mentioned contact on or before 27th February 2016. After this date, the Trustees will only have regard to the claims of which they have received notice.
Upon writing, you should include details of your current address and any benefits that you think you are entitled to. It would be appropriate to include a copy of any documentation that can support your claim.
Notification is not required from persons who are currently in receipt of a pension from the Scheme, or who have already received correspondence from the Trustees.
