NOTICEishereby giventhatHerefordshire Council,ashighway authority, intend,under its relevant powers,tomakethe U70707 Old Gloucester Road, Ross-on-Wye Temporary Closure Order2017 to temporarilyprohibit the usebyvehicles at the junctionofHigh Street forapproximately75meters east OS Grid Ref: 359986 / 224028. Thealternative routefor those affected by the proposal is via Chase Roadonto Gloucester Road.
Thesaidclosureisrequired due to the installationofanew StormWater connection and manholeand the likelihood of danger to the public while the works aretakingplace. Thesaid closurewill come intoforce on 11th September 2017 andmay remain in forcefor amaximum period of 18 months, (unlessextended with the consent of the SecretaryofState), butthe works areexpected to be completed within 12 days.
