SECTION 14(1)(a) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 TEMPORARY WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS -MILTON ROAD
THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HARROW HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they Intend to make a Temporary Traffic Management order under the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991. This Is to facilitate school coach drop off access.
1. This order may be cited as The Harrow (Milton Road) Temporary Traffic Order 2017, and would be operational on 31st August 2017 and would remain In effect until 31st December 2017.
2. The provisions of Item 625 (vii) and (Ix) of Schedule 2 to The Harrow (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No.40) Traffic Order 2014 would temporarily be revoked. The sections of Milton Road, stated below, shall temporally be operational between 08:00hrs and 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs and 18:30hrs; The west side;
(i) between a point 25.50 metres south of a point opposite the southern wall of Nos. 1 to 10 Milton Road, and a point 1.80 metres north of a point opposite the northern flank wall of the Civic Centre main building;
(ii) between a point 12.20 metres south of a point opposite the northwestern flank wall of the Civic Centre main building, and a point 12.00 metres north-west of the extended western kerb-line of Poets Way.
3. No person would cause or permit any vehicle to load at any time, on Milton Road, the west side;
(i) between a point 25.50 metres south of a point opposite the southern wall of Nos. 1 to 10 Milton Road, and a point 1.80 metres north of a point opposite the northern flank wall of the Civic Centre main building;
(ii) between a point 12.20 metres south of a point opposite the northwestern flank wall of the Civic Centre main building, and a point 12.00 metres north-west of the extended western kerb-line of Poets Way.
4. Nothing in paragraph 2 above would apply
(a) any vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;
(c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or Section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984;
(d) any vehicles used in connection with the school coach drop off.
5. The provisions of the order would not have effect unless all the signs in accordance with the provisions of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are displayed, removed or covered, or unless at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.
