Notice of Temporary Traffic Orders Eye & Dunsden Area - Various Restrictions Date of Order: 21 August 2017 Coming into force: 29 August 2017
This Order is being introduced because of roadside embankment works which are anticipated to take 18 months to complete. The effect of the temporary Order is as follows:
Road Closure: Eye & Dunsden, A4155 Henley Road (between Play Hatch roundabout and theA4155 Henley Road/Plough Lane junction). The alternative route for is (clockwise) via the A4I55 into Caversham -A4074 to Crowmarch Gifford -A4I30 past Nettlebed into Henley-on-Thames -A4I55 to Shiplake and vice-versa.
A Good Vehicle Weight Restriction of 7.5t will be applied to the following road so as to prevent large vehicles using a short-cut on unsuitable roads (exemptions for access/loading only and no restriction for buses) Eye & Dunsden: Playhatch & Dunsden Way Binfield Heath with Eye & Dunsden: Shiplake Row Shiplake: Plough Lane
Footpath Closure: Footpath 205/11/10 (between Play Hatch and the A4I55 Henley Road) No access onto/ from the A4I55. There is no suitable diversion for the footpath closure. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services,and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The orders will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months in respect of the road and for 6 months in respect of the footpath, or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
