Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the C1209 from Crossway to Maerdy Farm Track, Newton St Margarets Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles between the junction with the U74200 Rock Road and the U74209 Tremorithic Road OS Grid Ref: 335052 / 232987. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4347 onto the B4348 onto the C1206 and vice versa. The said closure is required due to the repair of a burst water main and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 29th August 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
