THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) (MILLTOWN STREET FOOTBRIDGE/PUBLIC FOOTPATH 8SM, RADCLD7FE) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State has approved that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury may continue in force until 16 August 2018 the above Order which was made on 16 February 2017 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which is as follows :-

To prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along Milltown Street Footbridge (Public Footpath 8sm, Radcliffe)
The reason for the extension is that works to replace the Footbridge which was removed during flooding have not yet been undertaken.
The alternative route is via Rectory Lane, Church Street West, Church Street, Stand Lane and Milltown Street and vice-versa. Dated 10 August 2017 Council Solicitor

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) (ROWLANDS ROAD, SUMMERSEAT) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
Rowlands Road, Summerseat - Crag Lane to Railway Street The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. The alternative route will be:- Via Bass Lane, Manchester Road, Bury New Road, Peel Brow, Bridge Street, Bolton Street, Bolton Road West, Longsight Road, Newcombe Road, Peel Hall Road and Railway Street and vice-versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on Thursday 17 August 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 3 to 4 weeks.
