OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT I980,WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council Great Haseley Footpath No. 1 (part) & Great Haseley Footpath No. 2 (part) Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2017 On 19th May 2017, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 21st March 2017, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting:
1)A 1220m length of Great Haseley Fp No.1 at Lobb Farm that runs from the Great Milton Parish boundary at OS Grid Reference SP 6579 0279, east-south-eastwards to north of Great Haseley Fp No.2 at SP 6604 0272, east-south-eastwards and then south-eastwards to immediately south of the farm track at SP 6602 0265, east-south-eastwards directly through Lobb Farm and eastwards to SP 6694 0242 to a line running for 1304m from the same point at the Great Milton Parish boundary at SP 6579 0279, east-south-eastwards to the track leading to Lobb Farm at SP 6598 0268, east-north-eastwards and then east-south-eastwards along the track to immediately north of Lobb Farm at SP 6648 0258, north-north-eastwards and then east-north-eastwards to where the track joins the unclassified road north of Lobb Farm at SP 6659 0263, south-eastwards to SP 6676 0242 and eastwards to SP 6694 0243 where it re-joins the existing footpath as shown on the Order map.
2) A 558m length of Great Haseley Fp No. 2 at Lobb Farm that runs from SP 6590 0225 north-eastwards to SP 6603 0235, north-north-westwards to SP 6601 0243, northwards to SP 6601 0269, east-north-eastwards and then north-eastwards to SP 6604 0272 where it joins with Great Haseley Fp 1 to a line running for 473m from the same point on the existing footpath at SP 6590 0225, north-north-eastwards to SP 6601 0244 and northwards to join with the diverted route of Great Hasely Fp No.2 at SP 6601 0269 as sown on the Order map.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7)WCA, within six weeks from 10th August 2017 make an application to the High Court.
