ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) (a) THE M42 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 1 TO JUNCTION 3) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M42 Motorway in the Counties of Worcestershire and Warwickshire, to allow bridge inspection works to be carried out. The effect of the order will be to close, at different times, -

(1) the eastbound carriageway of the M42 from its junction with the exit slip road at Junction 2, to its junction with the entry slip road at Junction 3; and

(2) lengths of the westbound carriageway of the M42 from its junction with the exit slip road at Junction 3, to its junction with the link roads leading to the M5 (M5 Junction 4a); and

(3) any slip road leading to or from the lengths of motorway described in (1) and (2) above.

The work will be carried out overnight and in phases between 21.00 hours and 04.00 hours. The eastbound closures are expected to start on Monday 21 August 2017 and continue for 3 nights. The westbound closures are expected start on Tuesday 29 August 2017 and continue for 4 nights. The Order will come into force on Monday 14 August 2017.
Vehicles being used for police, fire brigade, ambulance or traffic officer purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the work will be exempt from the closures. Diversion routes via the A441, the A448, the A38, the A435, and the A4023 will be signed.
