ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14
THE A64 TRUNK ROAD (GRIMSTON BAR INTERCHANGE) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A64 Trunk Road, in the City of York, to enable carriageway and footway resurfacing, kerb replacement, installation of traffic loops, road marking, road stud, bridge joint replacement, traffic signal upgrade and cyclic/routine maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Friday 1 September for 1 month, and will take place Sunday to Thursday nights between 7pm and 6am, Friday nights between 7pm and 9am and Saturday nights between 7pm and 10am. However, if necessary, the works will continue between the same times over subsequent nights until completed.
The effect of the Order will be, at times during the works, to close the A64 eastbound and westbound exit and entry slip roads, the roundabout and including adjacent cycle tracks, at the A1079/A166 Grimston Bar Interchange. During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available. It will also be necessary to impose, at times during the works, a 10mph speed restriction on Grimston Bar Roundabout. The 10mph speed restriction will only apply when, for safety reasons, traffic has to be escorted through the works by a highway maintenance vehicle. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restriction (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles) and prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works, to anyone engaged in the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 31 August 2017 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
THE A64 TRUNK ROAD (HEADLEY BAR TO BRAMBLING FIELDS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A64 Trunk Road, in the County of North Yorkshire, to enable routine cyclic maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Wednesday 16 August 2017 for 7 weeks, or until completed, and will take place overnight between 9pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, the A64:
(i) eastbound entry and westbound exit slip roads at Tadcaster Bar;
(ii) eastbound entry slip road at Towton;
(iii) eastbound exit and westbound entry slip roads at Musley Bank;
(iv) eastbound and westbound entry and exit slips roads at Brambling Fields; and
(v) eastbound exit and westbound entry slip roads at Headley Bar.
During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Access will be maintained at all times to premises and property which are accessible from, and only from, the A64. The Order comes into force on 15 August 2017 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
THE A64 TRUNK ROAD (ASKHAM BRYAN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A64 Trunk Road, in the City of York, to enable gas main replacement works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Monday 14 August 2017 for 2 weeks, or until completed. The effect of the Order will be to close, 24 hours a day, for the duration of the works the:
(i) A64 eastbound entry slip road at the A1237 Askham Bryan Interchange; and
(ii) the un-segregated footway/cycle track adjacent to the above slip road, a distance of 100 metres.
During the closures suitable signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day. The Order comes into force on 13 August 2017 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency services vehicles, traffic officer vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works, to anyone engaged in the said works or for winter maintenance purposes).
