OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WOODSTOCK STREET FAIR) (SPECIAL EVENT) ORDER 2017
Date of Order: 4 September 2017 Comes into force: 1 October 2017
Notice is given that the Council proposes to make a Special Event Order for the annual Woodstock Street Fair, the effects of which apply from 1 to 4 October 2017 inclusive. It is promoted by Ubico Ltd, West Oxfordshire District Council, Avenue 4, Station Lane, Witney, OX28 4BH and the Council is satisfied that it is appropriate for the event to take place on the highway Between 2pm on Sunday 1 October and 9am on Wednesday 4 October it is proposed to manage the traffic as follows:
(i) Prohibition of vehicles from Market Street, Market Place, High Street and Park Street;

(ii) Prohibition of Waiting in Market Street south side; Market Place south side - west of Town Hall; High Street both sides, the traffic island at junction with Oxford Road; and Park Street north side - from Browns Lane for 27m westwards, and south side from Market Place to a point 30m east of Rectory Lane.

(iii) Temporary removal of Prohibited Parking in: Hensington Road between Bear Close and Green Lane; and Oxford Street - outside Nos. 32 to 58 and 18 to 22 east side; and Nos. 25 to 31 west side.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, emergency works, essential access and event vehicles. Traffic Management: The whole area of the closure (prohibition of driving) is a cul-de-sac terminating at Blenheim Palace Northwest Gate. Adjoining side roads may be used up to the closure points only.There are no through-routes affected.
The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads - West Oxfordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2012 (as amended) and the Oxfordshire County Council (West Oxfordshire District) (Disabled Persons Parking Places) Order 2006 (as amended) shall be temporarily suspended.
