LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (A6 GARSTANG ROAD, BROUGHTON, PRESTON BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)(No.2)ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of A6 Garstang Road, Broughton from its junction with the M55 Junction 1 Slip Road to its junction with Church Lane in the Borough of Preston.
2. The prohibition will be operative daily from 2100 hours to 0500 hours on Monday 21st August 2017 until Friday 25th August 2017 or until completion of the works within this period.
3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- A6 Garstang Road – B6241 Eastway – B6241 Lightfoot Lane – B6241 Tom Benson Way – B5411 Tag Lane – B5411 Tabley Lane – B5411 Woodplumpton Road – B5269 Newsham Hall Lane – B5269 Woodplumpton Lane – A6 Garstang Road and vice versa. The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow essential Broughton Bypass works to be carried out.
