ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (A321 DENMARK STREET AND A321 MARKET PLACE, WOKINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on 1" August 2017 the Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers the effect of which continues in force the restrictions contained in a Notice under Section 14 (2) of the Act dated 31" July 2017 prohibiting any vehicle from proceeding along A321 Denmark Street and A321 Market Place between its respective junctions with A329 Peach Street and the entrance to the Denmark Street car park.

The restrictions are necessary to enable Wokingham Borough Council contractors to undertake essential works in relation to the Market Place environment improvement scheme.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by this restriction shall be via A329 Market Place, A329 Broad Street, A329 Shute End, A321 Station Road and A321 Wellington Road.

The restrictions shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Direction 2016 are lawfully displayed in the said roads.

The Order shall come into operation on the 4* August 2017 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is however expected that works requiring this restriction will be completed by 25* September 2017.
