NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER CYCLE TRACKS ACT 1984 SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL FOOTPATHS 31 & 36 COVINGHAM, 12 LIDDINGTON AND 2, 82 & 87 STRATTON ST MARGARET CYCLE TRACKS ORDER 2016

On 4 January 2017 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 3 of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984. The effect of the order as confirmed is to designate as cycle tracks, that length of Footpath 31 in the parish of Covingham situate at Kestrel Drive and commencing at OS grid reference SU19300 84960; that length of Footpath 36 in the parish of Covingham situate at St Paul’s Drive and commencing at OS grid reference SU18815 84762; that length of Footpath 12 in the parish of Liddington situate at the Great Western Hospital and commencing at OS grid reference SU18908 82571; that length of Footpath 2 in the parish of Stratton St Margaret between Winton Road and Delamere Drive and commencing at OS grid reference SU17706 87710; that length of Footpath 82 in the parish of Stratton St Margaret between Highworth Road and Taylor Crescent and commencing at OS grid reference SU17506 87824; and that length of Footpath 87 in the parish of Stratton St Margaret between Taylor Crescent and Oak Garden and commencing at OS grid reference SU17233 87948.

A copy of the order and the order maps has been placed and may be seen free of charge at The One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £15.00. The order comes into force on 22 August 2017, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any Regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under subsection 6 of Section 3 of the Act, within 28 days from the date of this order make an application to the High Court.
