THE SWINDONBOROUGH COUNCIL
(BUS LANES, BUS GATES AND BUS ONLY ROADS) ORDER 2014 AMENDMENT ORDER (No. 2) 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council proposes to make the above Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, The Traffic Management Act 2004 and The Transport Act 2000 and all other enabling powers and in consultation with the Chief Officer of the Police. The reasons for making is Order is as follow:

1. To include a new definition for “emergency services vehicle” meaning vehicle operated by the Police, Fire & Rescue or Ambulance Service are permitted to use bus lanes, bus gates and bus only roads when responding to an emergency incident.
2. Allowing vehicle on hire from Dial A Ride which displays an authorised bus lane user sticker to proceed in the bus lane.
3. All reference to the TSRGD 2002 to be updated to TSRGD 2016.
