Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians (Public Footpath No 13 (part) in the Parish of Middlewich)

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restriction) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on that length of Public Footpath No 13 in the Parish of Middlewich commencing at OSGR SJ 6976 6703 and running in a generally east, south easterly direction for approx. 51m at OSGRSJ 6981 6701.

This closure is necessary to protect the public from danger whilst works are undertaken to effect adequate drainage of the land before residential development is undertaken, and once the drainage systems are in place, whilst the public footpath will be reconstructed as a bound gravel path. The Order will come into force on 21st August 2017 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
