TUBWELL ROW, CROWN STREET & STONEBRIDGE, DARLINGTON (ROAD CLOSURE),
ORDER 2017 Darlington Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be:
TO CLOSE
TUBWELL ROW
From the east side of its junction with Church Row eastwards to its end
CROWN STREET
From its junction with Tubwell Row northwards to the south side of its junction with Priestgate
STONEBRIDGE
Entirely
ONE WAY CHURCH ROW
From Tubwell Row junction southwards to its end
FEETHAMS
From Church Row southwards to the north side of Beaumont Street junction
And
To suspend Schedule 43.16 from the Darlington Borough Council (Moving Traffic) Consolidation Order 2012 to allow access to Northgate for loading only
Alternative routes will be signed via St Cuthbert’s Way, East Street and via St Cuthbert’s Way, Northgate for HGV’s only.
The Order is necessary to allow road surfacing works.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 20th August 2017. It is anticipated that the closure will be effective from 0030hours on 20th August until 0600 hours on 21st August and then between1900hours and 0600hours for 5 nights.
