Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Kingston Bagpuize,A420/A4l5 roundabout Prohibition of Through Traffic and Speed Restriction Date of Order: 31 July 2017 Coming into force: 7 August 2017 This Order is being introduced because of carriageway realignment and new footway construction works which are anticipated to take 3 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is as follows:

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway realignment and new footway construction works which are anticipated to take 3 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is as follows:

(1) to temporarily prohibit any vehicle using the A420 roundabout, and the A415 Witney Road northwards for 100 metres, and southwards to the 30 limit during night time closures, and
(2) to reduce vehicle speed to 40mph through the A420 roundabout, and to 30mph southwards on theA415 Abingdon Road from the roundabout to the existing 30mph limit.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is for northbound A415 traffic via Faringdon Road, Spring Hill, A420, Pine Woods Road and Appleton Road. For southbound A415 traffic via Appleton Road, Netherton Lane, Digging Lane,A420 andA338. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
