THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 22 RISHTON, HYNDBURN BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily any pedestrian from proceeding over that length of Public Footpath No. 22 Rishton, in the Borough of Hyndburn, indicated below:- That part of Public Footpath No. 22 Rishton, Hyndburn Borough, from Tottleworth Road Footbridge at Point A (GR 373105 – 431243) in a general southerly direction for approximately 72 metres to the junction of Public Footpath No. 20 Rishton at Point B (GR 373123 – 431173). The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpath. Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times. Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works. The Order will be operative from the 27th July, 2017, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
