BURY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (SPRING STREET, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Spring Street, Bury - from its junction with Heywood Street for a distance of approximately 150 metres in a north-westerly direction The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate BT Openreach Works. The alternative route will be via Heywood Street, Shepherd Street and Back Lord Street and vice-versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on Wednesday 09 August 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 2 days. Rake Street, Bury - Temporary Road Closure from its junction with Walmersley Road to its junction with Back Hornby Street East. The reason for the proposed order is to enable the rebuilding of a fire hydrant chamber. The alternative route will be via Denton Street, Hornby Street and Porter Street. The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 07 August 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 2 months (between approx 9.00am and S.OOpm). Anticipated duration of works is 1 week.
