RAISED ZEBRA CROSSINGS, RAISED TABLES / JUNCTIONS / ENTRY TREATMENT AND AMENDMENTS TO WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING PLACES MAGDALEN ROAD
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in pursuance of section 90C of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to construct, as part of new traffic calming measures for the Quietways 4 programme:
(i) new raised tables in Magdalen Road, at the locations described in Schedule 1 to this Notice;
(ii) new raised junctions at the locations described in Schedule 2 to this Notice; and
(iii) a new raised entry treatment at the junction of Magdalen Road and Fieldview, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Magdalen Road, south-eastwards for a distance of 7 metres.
2. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in pursuance of section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to introduce three new zebra crossings in Magdalen Road at the locations described in Schedule 3 to this Notice. The associated zig-zag markings will prohibit all vehicles from stopping or waiting at any time for any reason. The Council proposes to install the crossings on raised tables under Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980, at the locations described in Schedule 4 to this Notice.
3. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004:-

4. The general effect of the Orders would be to amend the existing waiting restrictions and parking places in Magdalen Road and Swaby Road to accommodate the new raised tables, junctions, entry treatments and zebra crossings.
5. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the zebra crossings, raised tables, junctions, entry treatments and proposed Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders, or make a representation about the raised tables, junctions or entry treatments should send a statement in writing of their objection / representation and the grounds on which it is made to the Director of Environment and Community Services at the address below (quoting the reference W/ECS/TMO/1648) by 3rd August 2017.

SCHEDULE 1 - Raised tables
(i) from a point 33 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Lyford Road, south-westwards for a distance of 9 metres, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres;
(ii) from the common boundary of Nos. 41 and 43 Magdalen Road, south-westwards for a distance of 9 metres, with an overall height of 75 millimetres;
(iii) from a point 3.5 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Titchwell Road, north-eastwards for a distance of 9 metres, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres;
(iv) from the common boundary of Nos. 127 and 129, south-westwards for a distance of 9 metres, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres;
(v) from a point 50 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Openview, north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres;
(vi) from a point 5 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Openview, south-westwards for a distance of 10 metres;
(vii) from a point 6 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 203 and 205 Magdalen Road, south-westwards for a distance of 9 metres, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres.
SCHEDULE 2 - Raised lunctlons
(i) from a point approximately 7 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Ellerton Road to a point approximately 7 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Ellerton Road, and with an overall height of
75 millimetres;
(ii) from a point approximately 7 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Tilehurst Road to a point approximately 7 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Tilehurst Road, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres; and
(iii) from a point approximately 7 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Swaby Road to a point approximately 7 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Swaby Road, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres.
SCHEDULE 3 - Zebra crossings
The zebra crossings will be installed approximately:
(i) 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Multon Road. On the south-western approach there will be 8 zig-zag markings and on the north-eastern approach there will be 4 zig-zag markings. The overall length of the crossing, including the width of the zebra crossing (being 5 metres wide) and the zig-zag markings would be 29 metres;
(ii) 13 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Fieldview. On the south-western approach there will be 6 zig-zag markings and on the north-eastern approach there will be 4 zig-zag markings. The overall length of the crossing, including the width of the zebra crossing (being 5 metres wide) and the zig-zag markings would be 25 metres; and
(iii) 10 metres north-east of north-eastern kerb-line of Tranmere Road. On the south-western approach there will be 4 zig-zag markings and on the north-eastern approach there will be 4 zig-zag markings. The overall length of the crossing, including the width of the zebra crossing (being 5 metres wide) and the zig-zag markings would be 21 metres.
SCHEDULE 4 - Raised tables for zebra crossings
(i) from a point 6.5 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Multon Road, south-westwards for a distance of 12 metres, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres;
(ii) from a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Fieldview, south-westwards for a distance of 11.5 metres, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres; and
(iii) from a point 7 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Tranmere Road, north-westwards for a distance of 11 metres, and with an overall height of 75 millimetres.
