TheCouncil,on29/06/17madeanOrder underSection 14 (1) of theRoadTrafficRegulation Act, 1984, as amended, to closetoall traffic (except resident access)a70mlength of Owengate betweenits junctionswithSaddler Street/North Bailey andPalaceGreen,Durhamtoenable highwayrefurbishment workstobeundertaken. Themaximum duration of thetemporary closure underthe Orderis18months andisrequired: Phase1)24/07/17-9 weeks (08:30 - 16:30hrs, Mon-Fri); andPhase 2) 2018 (dates andtimes to be confirmed). Alternative route:pedestrian traffic - via NorthBailey andDun CowLanetoPalaceGreen,and vice versa. Thereisno alternativeroute forvehicular traffic.

Theeffectwill be to close to all vehicular traffic a90m length of Knitsley Gardens (nos.1-29) that extendswestwards from its junction with Knitsley Lane, Templetown to enableelectricity supplyrenewal workstobeundertaken. Themaximumdurationofthetemporary closureunder theOrder is 18 months andisrequired from 25/07/17 and forthe duration of theworks, anticipated to be 4weeks. Alternative route:via Knitsley Laneand Temple Gardens.
(B6309 DURHAM ROAD/A692 ROUNDABOUT.LEADGATE) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER2017 Theeffectwill be to close to all vehicular traffic a70m length of B6309 DurhamRoadfrom no.201 to A692/A691Roundabout, Leadgate to enablecarriagewayresurfacingworks to be undertaken.Itisalsonecessary to temporarilysuspend theCountyCouncil of Durham (C10a FrontStreet. Leadgate) (WeightLimit Restriction) Order2016for theduration of theworks anddiversion. ThemaximumdurationofthetemporaryclosureundertheOrderis 18months and is required from24/07/17between7pmand6amforthe durationoftheworks anticipated to 7nights. Alternativeroute:fromthe southernsideofthe closurefromA692/A691Roundabout a) northwesterlyvia A692 theneasterlyonC10aDurhamRoad/FrontStreet; b) northeasterly viaA692 then westerly on C10a St IvesRoadtothe northern side of theclosure, andviceversa. (ELVETBRIDGE, DURHAM CITY) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER2017 TheCouncil on 20/07/17madeanOrder underSection 14 (1) of theRoadTraffic RegulationAct, 1984, as amended, to close to all pedestriantraffic thestepped access from ElvetBridgeleading 1) toFearon Walk(Riverbanks Walk); and2)toKlutenightclub, Durhamtoenablebridge waterproofingand pavingrefurbishment workstobeundertaken. Themaximum duration of the temporary closureunder theOrder is 6months andisrequired from 24/07/17and forthe duration of theworks, anticipated to be 6months. Alternativeroute:via thealleyway from thewestern endofElvet Bridge leadingtoFearon Walk.
