BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NO. 040,038 & 037 LITTLE LEVER) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (N0.Z7) ORDER 2017

The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 24th July 2017, which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpaths No. 040 & 038 Little Lever commencing from Prestolee Road; point A at grid reference SD 375262 406483 in a generally east by northerly direction to point B at grid reference SD 375872 406613 as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1UI040/038/037 over a total distance of approximately 730 metres. This Order will also prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath No. 037 LittJe Lever commencing from Ladyshore Road; point D at grid reference SD 376363 406687 in a generally west north-westerly direction to point C at grid reference SD 376308 406705 as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1LH040/038/037 over a total distance of approximately 58 metres. No alternative route is available.

The Order is necessary to facilitate resurfacing of the Manchester, Bolton and Bury canal towpath and will continue for a period of 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
