Temporary Closure of Footpath T 33/22 over Firepool Weir
TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of his powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has approved an extension to the above Order for a period of 12 months from 14 January 2017to 14 January 2018or until the completion of the works whichever is earlier. The original Order came into effect on 15 July 2016 at the request of The Environment Agency as the bridge is dangerous. The Order PROHIBITS ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding part of footpath T 33/22 from a point approximately 25 metres southwest of the junction with Bridleway T 33/21 at Firepool Lock and running southwards for approximately 100 metres.
