LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (SKELLERON LANE, STOPPER LANE, TWISTON, RIMINGTON, RIBBLE VALLEY DISTRICT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrian to proceed over the following lengths of roads:
i. Skeleron Lane, Rimington, Twistion from its junction with Stopper Lane to its junction with Twistion Lane.
ii. Stopper Lane, Rimington from its junction with Skeleron Lane to its junction with Newby Lane.

2. The prohibitions will be operative as follows:
i. The prohibition on Skelleron Lane will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 31st July 2017 until 1700 hours on Friday 11th August 2017 or until completion of the works within this period,
ii. The prohibition on Stopper Lane will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 14th August 2017 until 1700 hours on Friday 25th August 2017 or until completion of the works within this period.

3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
i. Skeleron Lane: Twistion Lane – Pendle Road -Green Lane – Rimington Lane - Stoops Lane - Stopper Lane and vice versa.
ii. Stopper Lane: Skelleron Lane - Twistion Lane – Pendle Road -Green Lane – Rimington Lane – Stoops Lane and vice versa The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow utility works to be carried out.
