THE M4 MOTORWAY(JUNCTIONS 3-5) TEMPORARYOVERNIGHT CLOSURES
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited(a) has made an Order on the M4 Motorway,inthe Unitary Authority of Slough and the London Boroughs of Hillingdon and Hounslow,under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order will be to authorise the overnight closureofthe following link/slip roads -

(i) the slip road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the M4 to the A312 at Junction 3;
(ii) the slip and link roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M4 at Junction 4 (Heathrow Spur/A408);
(iii) the slip road leading from the westbound carriageway of the M4 at Junction 5(A4); and
(iv) the slip road leading to the eastbound carriageway of the M4 at Junction 5(A4).

These measures are in the interest of road safety while contractors undertake cyclical maintenance work.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 1-3 nights for each slip/link road every 2 months at the following times -
Monday-Thursday nights 22:00-05:30
Friday nights 23:00-06:00
Saturday nights 22:00-06:00
Sunday nights 22:30-05:30

The Order will come into force on 2 August 2017 and have a maximum duration of twelve months. During the closures outlined above, traffic affected will be diverted via other junctions of the M4, and the A4. The link/slip road closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works periods.
