SOUTHEND-ON-SEA BOROUGH COUNCIL (LIFSTAN WAYSOUTHEND-ON-SEA) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2017 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, acting as the loca highway authority, made an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order under Section 9of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9of the Act, the effect of which will prohibit waiting, in the section of road described in the Schedule below and update Map Tile T21. that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, acting as the loca highway authority, made an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order under Section 9of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, the effect of which will prohibit waiting, in the section of road described in the Schedule below and update Map Tile T21.

The Experimental Order shall come into operation on 26th July 2017 and shall remain in force until 26th January 2019, during which time the Council will monitor the scheme and consider representations made to it before deciding whether or not to introduce a permanent scheme A copy of the Experimental Order, together with a map showing the road to which the Experimental Order relates and the statement of reasons for making the Order, may be viewed at the Contact Centre on the ground floor of the Civic Centre (address below) during normal office hours. Documents can also be viewed online at http://www.southendtraffweb.co.uk/. With in a period of six months from the Experimental Order coming into force, or if that orders subsequently varied by another order under that Section or modified pursuant to sub-section 2 of Section 10 of the Act, from the coming into operation of that variation or modification (whichever is the latest), any person may object to the making of an order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation. Objections to the provisions of this Experimental Order being made permanent, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to Deputy Chief Executive(Place) and marked for the attention of the Traffic Management & Road Safety Team at the address below by no later than 26th January 2018.
