ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

SECTION 14(1 )(a) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES - CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING - VARIOUS ROADS

THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HARROW HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Management order under the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991. This is to allow carriageway resurfacing work to take place.

1. The order may be cited as The Harrow (Carriageway Resurfacing No.4) Temporary Traffic Order 2017, and would be operational from 08:00hrs on 8th August 2017 and would remain in effect until 2nd October 2017 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that all of the work should be complete by 2nd September 2017. Each road shall be closed for no longer than 10 working days; and most roads will be resurfaced within two to three days. Expected dates of closures for each road are listed below; however, these dates may be subject to change due to operational circumstances. Advanced temporary signage will be erected on-street; and information letters dropped through the letterboxes of affected frontages beforehand, confirming when roads will be closed.

2. Vehicles would be prohibited from entering or exiting the following lengths of roads when signs are in place;

f) Hutton Lane, at its junction with Langton Road;
g.)Stafford Road, at its junction with Langton Road;
h) Collins Avenue (whole road); 16/08/17 -17/08/17 8am - 5pm
i) Howards Road, at its junction with Honeypot Lane; 17/08/17 -19/08/17 8pm - 5am
j) Parr Road, at its junction with Honeypot Lane;
k.) Howberry Road, at its junction with Whitchurch Lane;
21/08/17 -24/08/17 9am - 4pm
24/08/17 -01/09/17 9am - 4pm
25/08/17 -29/08/17 8pm - 5am
1) Service road fronting Nos. 1A to 23a Station Parade, Whitchurch Lane;
m) Donnefield Avenue, at its junction with Whitchurch Lane;
n) Hitchin Lane, at its junction with Whitchurch Lane;
o) Tavistock Road, at its junction with Camrose Avenue;
P) Bacon Lane, at its junction with Camrose Avenue;
q) Penylan Place, at its junction with Camrose Avenue;
r) Berridge Green, at its junction with Camrose Avenue;
s) Summit Close, at its junction with Camrose Avenue;
t) Pembroke Place, at its iunction with Camrose Avenue;
u) Methuen Road, at its junction with Camrose Avenue;
v) Camrose Avenue, between its junctions with Berridge Green and Burnt Oak Broadway;
w) Stamford Close (whole road). 01/09/17 -02/09/17 8am - 5pm

Vehicles would be prohibited from entering Gayton Road at its junction with Sheepcote Road.
Nothing in paragraph 2 or 3 above would apply to:-

(a) any vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;
(c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or Section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984;
(d) any vehicles used in connection with the carriageway resurfacing work;
(e) any vehicles needing to gain access to properties in the closed extents as far as is practicably possible.

The provisions of the order will not have effect unless all the signs in accordance with the provisions of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 are displayed, removed or covered, or unless at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.

via Mepham Crescent, Hutton Lane, Boxtree Lane, Long Elmes and Courtenay Avenue and vice versa;
via Boxtree Lane, Long Elmes and Courtenay Avenue and vice versa;
via Boxtree Lane, Long Elmes and Courtenay Avenue and vice versa;
via Honeypot Lane and Taunton Way and vice versa;
via Unwin Way, Hitchin Lane and Whitchurch Lane and vice versa;
via Du Cros Drive and Marsh Road and vice versa;
via Unwin Way, Howard Road and Honeypot Lane and vice versa;
via Burnt Oak Broadway;
via Chandos Crescent and Merlin Crescent and vice versa;
via Burnt Oak Broadway, Whitchurch Lane, Honeypot Lane and Taunton Way and vice versa;
Gayton Road; via Sheepcote Road and Kenton Road and vice versa;
