Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order : A438 From Ledbury Road To River Lugg, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A438 From Ledbury Road To River Lugg, Hereford, from the junction with Tidnor Lane to the junction with Netherwood Road. Grid Ref: 354608 / 240772 to 353422 / 240253. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A438 onto the the A417 at The Trumpet onto the A4103 at Newtown onto the A49 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to relaying WPD electricity cables and carriageway repair works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 31st of July 2017 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 28 days.
