Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the A438 Kings Acre Road, Hereford, Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles classed as Heavy Good Vehicles on the following road: A438 Kings Acre Road at Whitecross Roundabout OS Grid Ref: 349318 / 240661. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A480 onto the A4103 onto the A49 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to insufficient carriageway width while safety zones are required while installing polyduct for BT cabling and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 23rd July 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
