THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (COLNE GRAND PRIX, COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2016 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council (“The County Council”) have made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrian (except race participants) from proceeding over those lengths of road, in Colne, in the Borough of Pendle specified in the attached Schedule to this Notice. Local alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be in place. The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the Colne Grand Prix race to be held. The prohibition will be operative from 1500 hours until 2230 hours on Wednesday 26th July 2017, or until completion of the event if sooner.
