THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH No. 24 RISHTON AND A PATH TO WHICH THE PUBLIC HAVE ACCESS, HYNDBURN BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily any pedestrian from proceeding over that length of Public Footpath No. 24 Rishton and a path to which the public have access, in the Borough of Hyndburn, indicated below:- That part of Public Footpath No. 24 Rishton and a path to which the public have access from Point A (GR 373873 431883) from its junction with Alan Ramsbottom Way (U41338), along an unrecorded way and then along Public Footpath No. 24 Rishton for a distance of approximately 195 metres in a south easterly direction to Point B (GR 373983 431731) to the junction with Public Footpath No. 23 Rishton. The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpaths. Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times. Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works. The Order will be operative from the 13th July, 2017, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
