NOTICE TO UNKNOWN OWNER(S) IN ADVANCE OF HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ADOPTING THE LAND SITUATED AT OLD MILL ROAD, HUNTON BRIDGE, KINGS LANGLEY, HERTFORDSHIRE FOLLOWING THE CARRYING OUT OF STREET WORKS PURSUANT TO SECTION 228 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
Hertfordshire County Council ("the County Council") hereby gives notice that in connection with the construction of a footway together with associated landscaping, on land adjacent to Old Mill Road, Hunton Bridge, Kings Langley, Hertfordshire ("the Land") shown coloured black on the plan below it intends to carry out street works on the Land in order to make up the street to an adoptable standard. The Land is unregistered and title investigations have been carried out but the County Council has been unable to identify any owner(s).
On completion of the street works, it is the County Council's intention to exercise its statutory notice procedure under Section 228 of the Highways Act 1980 ("the Act"). If no objection or challenge is raised to that procedure, Hertfordshire County Council shall declare the Land an adopted highway,maintainable at the public expense.
