PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF A RAISED ENTRY TREATMENT, RELOCATION OF A ZEBRA CROSSING AND AMENDMENT OF PARKING PLACES THE HARINGEY (SEVEN SISTERS CPZ) (PAY AND DISPLAY) (PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 201*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Sections 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 proposes to introduce a raised entry treatment, relocate a zebra crossing. It also proposes to reduce the lengths of existing pay and display parking places with the above-mentioned Order under sections 45, 46 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, as detailed below.
2. It is proposed that-
(a) a raised entry treatment would be introduced in Kirkton Road N15 at its junction with West Green Road. The raised entry treatment would be approximately 10 metres in length, including the ramps. It would be 75 millimetres in height, with gradients of 1:15 to 1:20 on the ramps and would extend across the full width of the carriageway;
(b) the existing zebra crossing located outside No. 120 West Green would be relocated to outside Nos. 116a and 118 West Green Road. The existing crossing would be replaced by single yellow line waiting restrictions operating at zone hours. The new crossing would be supported with associated zig-zag markings, on which, vehicles would be prohibited from stopping at all times, which would be placed on the carriageway, either side of the crossing, extending approximately 9 to 13 metres from either side.
(c) the lengths of the existing pay and display parking places outside, and opposite, Nos. 114 and 116 West Green Road would be reduced in order to accommodate the relocation of the above zebra crossing.
3. A plan showing the locations of the raised entry treatment and zebra crossing may be inspected for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice during normal office working hours at the reception desk, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR or can be viewed online at www.haringey.gov.uk/traffic_orders.
4. Copies of the proposed Order and of the Council's statement of reasons for making the Order and a plan showing the locations and effects of the Order may be inspected during normal office working hours until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order, at the reception desk, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR or can be viewed online at www.haringey.gov.uk/traffic_orders.
5. Any person desiring to object to the proposals should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, or their representation, to the Traffic Management Group, Alexandra House, 5th Floor, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR or to traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk within 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published.
