ORDER 2017 The Borough Council of Bolton intends to make an Order not less than seven days from the date of this Notice. The effect which will be operative from 24th July 2017 and will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpaths No.040 & 038 Little Lever commencing from Prestolee Road; point A at grid reference SD 375262 406483 in a generally east by northerly direction to point B at grid reference SD 375872 406613 as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1Lil040/038/037 over a total distance of approximately 730 metres. It will also prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath 037 Little Lever commencing from Ladyshore Road; point D at grid reference SD 376363 406687 in a generally west north-westerly direction to point C at grid reference SD 376308 406705 as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1Lil040/038/037 over a total distance of approximately 58 metres. No alternative route is available. The Order is necessary to facilitate resurfacing of the Manchester, Bolton and Bury canal towpath and will continue for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
