Transport for London Public notice ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A41 AND A406 GLA ROADS (BRENT CROSS FLYOVER, HENDON WAY AND NORTH CIRCULAR ROAD) (LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable Structural Investigation works to take place on A41 Brent Cross Flyover, Hendon Way and North Circular Road.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

(1) Proceeding on Brent Cross Interchange Roundabout between its junctions with the westbound on-slip Road connecting it to the carriageway of Hendon Way and the eastbound off-slip Road connecting the westbound carriageway of Hendon Way.
(2) Proceeding on Brent Cross Interchange Roundabout between its junctions with the eastbound off-slip Road connecting it to the carriageway of Hendon Way and the westbound on-slip Road connecting the westbound carriageway of Hendon Way.
(3) Proceeding on A41 Brent Cross Flyover between its junctions with the appropriate on-slip and off-slip Roads connecting Brent Cross Interchange Roundabout with Hendon Way

The Order will be effective between 21 st July 2017 and 20th December 2018 every night from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.

5. At such times as the prohibition is in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs

(1) eastbound Closure via: the A41 or A406 Brent Cross Interchange north west Slip Road, Brent Cross Roundabout and the north east Slip Road
(2) westbound Closure via: the A41 or A406 Brent Cross Interchange South East Slip Road, Brent Cross Roundabout and the South West Slip Road
(3) traffic wishing to turn right onto A406 North Circular Road (eastbound) from A41 Hendon Way (northbound) follow: A406 North Circular Road (westbound), third exit Staples Corner Rounabout, A406 North Circular Road (eastbound to normal route of travel
(4) traffic wishing to turn right onto A406 North Circular Road (westbound) from A41 Hendon Way (southbound) follow: A41 Hendon Way (southbound), A407 Cricklewood Way (westbound), A5 Edgware Road (northbound), A406 North Circular Road (eastbound) to normal route of travel
(5) traffic wishing to turn right onto A41 Hendon Way (southbound) from A406 North Circular Road (westbound) follow: A406 North Circular Road (southbound), A502 Brent Street (northbound), B551 Queens Road, eastbound), A41 Hendon Way (southbound) to normal route of travel
(6) Traffic wishing to turn onto A41 Hendon Way (northbound) from A406 North Circular Road (eastbound) follow: A1 Great North Way (northbound), A504 Finchley Lane (westbound), A504 The Burroughs (eastbound),
A41 Hendon Way (southbound) to normal route of travel.
