BURY COUNCIL THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) (BURY NEW ROAD, WHITEFIELD) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Bury New Road, Whitefield - Southbound between Clyde Avenue and south of the M60 Junction 17 at the M60 Junction 17 Anticlockwise exit slip road. The reason for the proposed order is to carry out construction work on the bridge over the M60 at Junction 17. The alternative route will be via Bury New Road northbound from its junction with the M60 at Junction 17 to its junction with Higher Lane, Bury Old Road, Scholes Lane and Bury New Road. The Order comes into operation on Monday 17 July 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 11 weeks of overnight closures between 22.00 hrs and 06.00 hrs. THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) (HOLCOMBE ROAD, TOTTINGTON) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
Holcombe Road, Tottington - between Shepherds Close and Station Road
The reason for the proposed order is to enable manhole frame and cover works to be carried out.

The alternative route will be via Holcombe Road, Bolton Road, Ramsbottom Road, Tottington Road, Turton Road, Cheapel Street and vice versa.

The Order comes into operation on Sunday 16 July 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to one month, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately one day.

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 16, RADCLIFFE (MANCHESTER, BOLTON & BURY CANAL TOWPATH)) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any members of the public from proceeding along:-
Public Footpath 16, Radcliffe (Manchester, Bolton & Bury Canal Towpath) -between Bridge 17a School Street Footbridge and the Bury/Bolton boundary. The reason for the proposed order is to enable canal towpath resurfacing works to be carried out. The alternative route will be via the Canal Towpath from the School Street Footbridge to Water Street, Water Street, Bolton Road and Stopes Road and vice versa. The Order comes into operation on Monday 24 July 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months.
