LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (LIGHTFOOT LANE, PRESTON, PRESTON BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice. 1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Lightfoot Lane, Preston from its junction with B6241 Eastway for a distance of approximately 45 metres in a South Easterly direction in the borough of Preston. 2. The prohibition will be operative from 09:30 hours on Monday 24th July 2017 until 16:30 hours on Sunday 3rd September 2017 or until completion of the works within this period. 3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- Diversion1 (Eastway) Eastway (B6241) – Garstang Road (A6) – Lightfoot Lane. Diversion 2 (Lightfoot Lane) Lightfoot Lane – A6 Garstang Road – B6241 Eastway The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow utility works to be carried out.
