ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE GORSE HILL CRESCENT THE POOLE (GORSE HILL CRESCENT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in exercise of its powers under The Highways Act 1980, The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 proposes to make an Order, the effect of which is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along that part of Gorse Hill Crescent, affected by the works from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. Frontagers and Emergency Services will be given precise details of the closure dates in due course by the Contractor. Residents will be informed by letter nearer the time of the proposed work with further details. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis. There will be access provided for residents where practicable. The closure is required for the refurbishment of the carriageway, kerbs and footway. The proposed Order is effective from Monday 31 July 2017 until Friday 18 August 2017. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required. If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
