Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the A417 Ledbury Bypass, Ledbury Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles southbound from the roundabout joining the A438 Hereford Road to the roundabout joining the C1308 Little Marcle Road OS Grid Ref: 370037 / 237914. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A438 Hereford Road continuing onto the A438 The Homend onto the A417 and vice versa. The said closure is required due to the repair to street lamp columns and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 7th August 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night.
