Temporary Traffic Management Order B3I57 Bramdon Lane, Portesham
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. The order will come into operation on 3 July 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 10th November 2017. The order is to create a safer working area for Wessex Water whilst they carry out works to install a new water main in the fields either side of Bramdon Lane. Speed restriction required due to construction site traffic accessing the fields off the road. The effect of the order is as follows;
[1] To impose a temporary 30mph speed limit upon B3157 BRAMDON LANE, PORTESHAM from close to the junction with Nottington Lane to its junction with Cheese Lane, a total distance of approximately 1900 metres. The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders Made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014, (Amendment Order No. 6, 2017) Williams Avenue, Dorchester-Restriction of Waiting
Dorset County Council has made an Amendment Order to 'The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders Made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014' under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act') and of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with the 1996 Regulations.
When the Order comes into operation on the 14 July 2017 the effect of the Order will be to introduce no loading or unloading between the hours of 8.00am to 10.00am and 4.00pm to 6.00pm on Williams Avenue, Dorchester. Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order. A copy of the Order together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:- Main Reception, Dorset County Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester and West Dorset District Council, South Walks House, South Walks Road, Dorchester and Dorchester Town Council, 19 North Square, Dorchester. Temporary Closure of Weir View, Charminster
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [I] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WEIR VIEW, CHARMINSTER from the junction with West Hill, Charminster to the junction with West Hill, a distance of approximately 225 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 24th July 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Ist September 2017 This order will enable Gracelands Ltd, safe access to carry out new foul sewer connection in the highway. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; A352 - A37 - Weir View

Temporary Closure of Public Footpath 24, Chickerell
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [I] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act I984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath 24, Chickerell from grid reference SY 6518 8045 to grid reference SY 6529 8006, a distance of approximately 435 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 19 July 2017 for a period of 26 weeks. But it will remain in force for 6 months and can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. This closure is required to allow CG Fry to construct a housing development. For the period of this footpath closure alternative routes will be available from the southern end of the closure, walk west for 200m to the corner of Putton Lane (Point C = SY 65I0 8002), then walk north for 390m to the junction with Glennie Way (D = SY 6490 8030), continue north for I00m to the footpath (E = SY 6488 804I) and cross the fields heading north easterly for I40mto Lower Putton Lane (F = SY 6497 8053), then turn right and head east for II 0m to the footpath (G = SY 6508 8052) and walk south for I45m to the northern end of the closure (A = SY 6518 8045). The reverse route applies.
